In 1963 Mickey Thompson and Gene McMannis began manufacturing and marketing Mickey Thompson tires.  McMannis had already been designing racing tires and actually held patents for several of his designs.  Thompson’s history had more to do with the actual race cars.  He had designed, driven and promoted them.  Together they made a formidable team because of the background that they collectively had on either end of the cars they were making the tires for.

Features

Features on the Baja MTZ Radial are outstanding.  They have included a 3 ply sidewall for starters.  This is available on all sizes.  Along with the 3 ply sidewall, there are Sidebiters which have been enhanced to offer you not only added protection but also added traction.  To add to the traction provided, there are deep shoulder lugs.  These also offer a distinctive look!  Another feature is the high void treads.  These are self-cleaning and add even more traction when you really need it…like in snow or mud.  All of this is encompassed in a highly advanced radial construction.  In all it offers a smooth ride no matter what the terrain is.  

Sizes

These Baja MTZ Radials come in a variety of sizes.  You can get them as small as 15” all the way up to the 20” size.  Of course you know that each size offers a different load capacity, so be sure when you are getting these that you get exactly what you need.
